As an Orthodontic RDA, you will work closely with the orthodontist to provide direct patient care and support in a fast-paced, professional, and caring environment. Your primary responsibility will be assisting in the delivery of orthodontic treatments while ensuring the comfort and safety of our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures such as placing and removing braces, bonding brackets, wire adjustments, and other orthodontic treatments.
- Take and develop high-quality dental x-rays, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment for each patient visit.
- Educate patients on proper orthodontic care, including oral hygiene, maintenance, and care of appliances.
- Monitor patients' progress, ensuring that treatment plans are followed and track patient appointments.
- Maintain patient records, including treatment progress, x-rays, and other important documents.
- Perform routine dental office procedures, such as taking impressions, creating retainers, and other necessary tasks.
- Ensure that the office maintains compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Assist in patient scheduling and general office duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in the state of California.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience in orthodontic assisting is preferred, but not required.
- Strong knowledge of orthodontic procedures and terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
