To be oriented and trained as a dental claims examiner with the ability to analyze claims, determine if benefits are due and initiate claim payment.  Candidate must be comfortable in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.  Candidate must be able to maintain the highest degree of professionalism and member confidentiality.  Individual must be sensitive to client needs.

• Attendance and completion of designated classroom claims professional training programs
• Performs on-the-job training activities
• Processing dental claims under close supervision
• Documenting claims files and properly coding claim activity
• Communicating claim action/processing with claimant and client
• Supporting other claims examiners and claims supervisors with larger or more complex claims as assigned
• Participates in rotational assignments to provide temporary support for office
• Supports the Total Performance Management initiative

• High School Diploma, prefer evidence of continuing education
• Minimum two years data entry experience and Microsoft office Suite
• Knowledge of commercial HMO, Medicaid, Medicare claim payment process preferred
• Must have Dental Knowledge (Some Dental Background)
• Ability to meet deadlines in high volume environment
• Typing and 10-key ability
• Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, communication skills, and teamwork
• Working knowledge of the (CDT) Current Dental Terminology
• Excellent organization skills
